A celebration of life service for Jim White, 75, of Clarkesville, will be announced at a later date. His wishes were to be cremated.

Mr. White passed away Thursday, July 16, 2020. 

Born Sept. 10, 1944, in Moline, Illinois, he was the son of the late Lowell and Ruth White. 

As a kid he joined the Air Force and served his country honorably in Vietnam. He was a lifelong Pilot with America West Airlines, and a Corporate Pilot for Salt River Project both in Phoenix, Arizona. He was also a General Aviation Enthusiast with a private plane in Toccoa, and an Aviation Instructor who loved to teach his trade to the next generation. Jim's life was focused around his aviation career and hobby. Jim was loved by everyone; he was fun to be around and was the life of the party.  

Survivors include his loving wife and flying partner, Kathy White of Clarkesville; son and daughter-in-law, Brian and Kelsey White of Mesa, Arizona; sisters, Janet Ross of Beloit, Wisconsin; Judy Crawford of Selah, Washington; and granddaughter, Rory White. 

Arrangements have been entrusted to the Whitfield Funeral Homes & Crematory, North Chapel, Demorest.
