Due to the inclement weather, memorial services for Abraham Bernard Duncan III, 69, of Clarkesville, originally scheduled for Feb. 11, have been rescheduled for 4 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 20, at Whitfield Funeral Home, North Chapel, Demorest, with the Rev. Brandon Woods officiating.

Mr. Duncan died Monday, Feb. 3, 2014, following an extended illness.

Born Jan. 14, 1945, in Toccoa, he was the son of the late Abraham Bernard Duncan II and Lois Mattox Duncan Tracy.

He had a bachelor’s degree in business from Shorter College and was of the Methodist faith. Mr. Duncan was a human resource manager with ITT Automotive Division and was an administrative assistant with Cobb General Hospital.

Survivors include his wife, Karen Duncan of Clarkesville; stepdaughter, Amy Nycole Falls of Demorest; sister, Lois McDermott of Rome; cousins, Dottie and Steve Jackson of Rabun County, Lynn Ogle of Texas, Rebecca and Steve Roundtree of Clarkesville, Joe Sewell of Toccoa; and several nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 2-3:45 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 20.
