Mrs. Altman died Dec. 7, 2011 in Bishopville, S.C.
She is survived by her daughter Jeannie and son-in-law Lee Griggs of Camden, S.C.; and a sister Dorothy Price of Loganville.
She was predeceased by her parents Hilton and Ethel Smith Roberts; brothers Homer, Waverly, Avery, Ralph and Haughey Roberts; sisters Ora Gillespie, Christine Moulder, Cora Webb and Mildred Roberts.
Before her retirement she was employed many years at J. M. Tull Metal Company in Atlanta where she worked in the accounting department. Mrs. Altman also volunteered at the Kershaw County Hospital for several years
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made in Mrs. Altman’s memory to the Walter M. Crowe Animal Shelter, 460 S. Fair Street, Camden, S.C. 29020.
