Funeral services for Carl W. Lathan, 80, of Cornelia, were held at 2 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 11, at Whitfield Funeral Home, South Chapel, Baldwin, with the Rev. Brian James and Clyde Ivester officiating. Burial followed in Level Grove Cemetery with Masonic Graveside Rites provided by Cornelia Masonic Lodge No. 92 F&AM.

Mr. Lathan died Friday, Nov. 9, 2012, at Northeast Georgia Medical Center.

Born November 28, 1931, in Habersham County, he was the son of the late Dawson and Dorothy Cash Lathan.

Mr. Lathan was a retired employee of Habersham Metal Products, with 39 years of service. He was a member of Level Grove Baptist Church and Cornelia Masonic Lodge No. 92 F&AM.

Survivors include his loving wife, Mildred Colbert Lathan of Cornelia; daughter, Donna P. Dover of Cornelia; sisters, Louise Allen and Valorie Galloway, both of Mt. Airy, and Betty Gosnell of Cornelia; and brother, E.J. Lathan of Mt.Airy.
