A Celebration of Life service will be held at a later date for Carolyn Ann Willey Morse, 65, of Cornelia. Mrs. Morse’s wishes were to be cremated.

Mrs. Morse died Sunday, Aug. 4, 2013, at Habersham Medical Center in Demorest following a brief illness.

Born Jan. 28, 1948, in Saco, Maine, she was a daughter of the late Frank and Violette Lorraine Gousse Willey. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 42-1/2 years, Russell David Morse; daughter, Noel Kristen Morse; and a sister, Linda Chadwick.

Mrs. Morse was a bookkeeper, having lived for many years in Sarasota, Fla., before retiring and moving to Cornelia about six years ago. She enjoyed cooking, flower gardening, and spending time with her family. Carolyn was a very loving mother, grandmother, sister and friend who will be missed by all who knew her.

Survivors include her daughter, Erica Ann Morse of Alto; grandchildren, Kyleigh Goode of Alto; Ryanne Rogers of Tampa, Fla., Michael Canady of Dadeville, Ala.; brothers, Clifford Willey and Arnold Willey, both of Massachusetts; sisters, Patricia Carter of Arizona, Catherine Campbell of New Hampshire; many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
