Memorial services for Cassandra “Sandy” Carnes-Bisnett, 62, of Clarkesville, will be held at noon Saturday, June 30, at Faith Tabernacle Full Gospel Church, with the Rev. Janice Suddereth officiating.

Mrs. Bisnett died Sunday, June 24, 2012, following a sudden illness.

Born Aug. 25, 1949, in Athens, she was the daughter of the late Norman and Joann Kemp Carnes.

She was a retired registered nurse, having served at St. Mary’s Hospital and Athens Regional Medical Center, both in Athens, and then at Stephens County Hospital in Toccoa. Mrs. Bisnett was also a private duty “nanny.” She was a member of Faith Tabernacle Full Gospel Church for more than 35 years and director of the Children‚Äôs Church.

Survivors include her husband, Gregory T. Bisnett of Clarkesville; godchildren, Tonya Ellerbee of Clarkesville, Tara Sellers of Cleveland, John Paul Rogers of Cleveland, and Katie Bisnett of Eclectic, Ala.; and god-grandchildren, Britney Ellerbee, Alexis Ellerbee, Caleb Ellerbee, Alyssa Brown and Brianna Reeves.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Faith Tabernacle Full Gospel Church, 500 Highway 17 North, Clarkesville, GA 30523.
