Memorial services for Charles E. O’Farrell, 82, of Clarkesville, will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 23, at Whitfield Funeral Home, North Chapel, Demorest, with the Rev. Herb Snedden officiating. A private inurnment will be held in Yonah Memorial Gardens.

Mr. O’Farrell died Thursday, Feb. 21, 2013, at his residence.

Born Feb. 12, 1931, in Fulton County, he was the son of the late John Mason and Lula West O’Farrell. He also was preceded in death by his wife, Dorothy Allen O’Farrell, and eight brothers and sisters.

Mr. O’Farrell proudly served his country as an Honor Guard in the United States Army during the Korean Conflict. He retired from Sears Roebuck and Company with 41 years of loyal and dedicated service in management and was of the Baptist faith.

Survivors include his daughters, Robin O’Farrell Pritchard of Athens, Sheila O’Farrell of Miami, Fla., and Carol Bernstein of Miami, Fla.; son, David Todd O’Farrell of Reston, Va.; grandchildren, Sarah Carter and Jessica Pritchard-Mangum; and one great-granddaughter, Emma Grace Carter. He was the last surviving member of his immediate family.

The family will receive friends from 12:30 p.m. until the funeral hour on Saturday.
