Funeral services for Chrichelle “Shelly” Holcomb, 32, of Homer, formerly of Rabun County, were held at 1 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 1, at the new chapel of Hunter Funeral Home with the Rev. Chuck Stutsman and the Rev. Thomas Gragg officiating. Burial followed in Rocky Grove Baptist Church Cemetery, Tiger.

Ms. Holcomb died Monday, Jan. 27, 2014, at Emory University Hospital.

Born April 9, 1981, in Stephens County, she was the daughter of Robert and Susie Ivester Taylor of Homer.

She had lived most of her life in Rabun County. She was a Rabun County High School graduate and worked at Suds and Bubbles – but had been disabled. She was a member of Special Olympics and attended Wolf Creek Baptist Church.

In addition to her parents, Shelly is survived by her maternal grandparents, Doyce and Sarah Crump Lovell of Homer; and paternal grandparents, Bobby and Linda Baker Taylor of Dillard; and by grandmother, Ruth Grant of Clayton.
