Memorial services for David Eugene Cox, 63, of Sautee, are scheduled for 2 p.m. Friday, Aug. 10, at the chapel of Barrett Funeral Home, Cleveland.

Mr. Cox died Sunday, Aug. 5, 2012.

Born July 29, 1949, in Atlanta, he was the son of the late Thorton and Alma Dudely Cox.

Mr. Cox was a police officer and a member of Inman First United Methodist Church and a member of Concord Baptist Church.

Survivors include his sons and daughters-in-law, Charlie and Regina Cox of Cornelia, Will and Kelly Cox of Gainesville; brothers and sisters-in-law, T.C. and Juanita Cox of Stockbridge, Tom and Denise Cox of Ellijay; sister and brother-in-law, Beverly and Larry Beaver of Anna Maria, Fla.; grandchildren, David Cox, Lillian Cox; partner, Gina Stanley, and her children; grandson, Danté Donley; cousin, Donnie Roberts; and best friends, Ed and Donna Crook.
