Memorial services for Denis Gauthier, 72, of Demorest, will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, Nov. 12, at Grace Calvary Episcopal Church with Rev. Dena Bearl officiating.

Mr. Gauthier died Tuesday, Oct. 30, 2012.

Born in Wotton, Quebec on July 23, 1940, he was the son of the late Philias and Lia Drapeau Gauthier. In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by a sister, Colette Gauthier.

Mr. Gauthier was a fighter pilot with the Canadian Armed Forces for 37 years, retiring with the rank of Lieutenant Colonel. He was the leader of the Snowbirds Air Demonstration Team in 1975 and 1976. Mr. Gauthier enjoyed golfing, stained glass and woodworking in his spare time. He attended Grace Calvary Episcopal Church.

Surviving are wife of 35 years, Kay Gauthier of Demorest; son, Marc Gauthier of Barrie, Ontario; daughter, Danielle Eastman of Penticton, British Columbia; grandchildren, Dean Gauthier, Keith Gauthier, Victoria Eastman and Eric Eastman.
