Funeral services for Harlard Donald Galloway, 73, of Clarkesville, were held at 2 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 25, at Shirley Grove Baptist Church with the Rev. Dennis Ledford and the Rev. Bill Gravely officiating. Burial followed in the church cemetery.

Mr. Galloway died Tuesday, Oct. 23, 2012.

Born May 1, 1939, in Habersham County, he was the son of the late Harlard and Ola Shirley Galloway. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Nevitt Galloway, and his sister, Shirley Jean Jamison.

He owned and operated a nursery and green houses. Mr. Galloway was a United States Army veteran and was a member of Shirley Grove Baptist Church, where he served as pianist.

Survivors include his wife, Lois “Pat” Harrison Galloway of Clarkesville; daughter and son-in-law, Terenpa and Dwain Cleveland of Jaspera; son and daughter-in-law, Keith and Betty Galloway of Oxford, N.C.; sister, Kathleen Loudermilk of Villa Rica; and granddaughter, Kelly Cleveland of Alpharetta.
