Funeral services for Dorothy A. “Dot” Robinson, 60, of Alto, were held at 2 p.m. on Monday, Dec. 26, at Whitfield Funeral Home, North Chapel, Demorest, with Rev. Roy G. Rogers officiating. Interment followed in the Welcome Home Baptist Church Cemetery.

Ms. Robinson died Friday, Dec. 23, 2011, at the Northeast Georgia Medical Center, following a sudden illness.

Ms. Robinson was born on Aug. 11, 1951, in Turnerville; a daughter of the late Hershel and Corrine Waldrup Gibson. She was also preceded in death by her sister, Hazel Parker and her brothers, Carl, Dillard, and Charles Gibson. Ms. Robinson worked at Fieldale Farms in Murrayville and was of the Baptist faith.

Survivors include her daughters, Cindy Phillips, Cornelia and Rhonda Elrod, Hollywood; son, Dennis Dean, Baldwin; sister, Betty Franklin, Banks County; brother and sister-in-law, Chester and Gloria Jean Gibson, Toccoa; and grandchildren, Heather Elrod, Samantha Phillips, Misty Phillips, Christopher Elrod, and Cheyenne Dean.
