Funeral services for Eunice Bell Ferguson, 78, of Alto, are scheduled for 2 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 26, from the chapel of McGahee-Griffin & Stewart Funeral Home with Bishop Clarence Reynolds, the Rev. Sanford Kimbrell and the Rev. Scott Ledbetter officiating. Burial will follow in the B.C. Grant Cemetery.

Ms. Ferguson died Saturday, Sept. 21, 2013.

Born Oct. 18, 1934, in Banks County, she was a daughter of the late Norman J. Ferguson and Dovie Wade Ferguson. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her infant brother, Cline Ferguson, and by a brother-in-law, F. Cline Shook Jr.

Eunice was a magna cum laude graduate of Piedmont College, where she was also a member of the Torch Club. Ms. Ferguson was a retired accountant with many years of service with Johnson & Johnson, Ethicon Corp. A life-long resident of Banks County, Eunice was a very warm, caring and generous person. She loved her Lord, family and friends deeply. Ms. Ferguson also enjoyed traveling and all of God’s creations. She was of the Holiness faith.

Survivors include her sister, Opal F. Shook of Alto; numerous cousins and friends.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 2-4 p.m. and 6-9 p.m. today, Sept. 25.
