Mrs. Cragg went home to Heaven Tuesday, March 18, 2014.
Born Dec. 26, 1926, in Dawson County, she was the daughter of the late Raymond and Leila Russell. She was the oldest of three children. She was also preceded in death by her husband of 63 years, Josh Cragg; sister, Evelyn Russell; brother, Harold Russell; and infant grandson, Isaac Pitts.
Mrs. Cragg spent much of her young life with her aunt and uncle, Frances and Garland Canup. She married Josh Cragg in March of 1949, and worked as a homemaker for her husband and four children. She made sure there was clothing for her children, often making items herself. Mrs. Cragg was a member of Enon Baptist Church and helped the church in any way she could.
