A memorial service for James Hamilton Peak, 75, of Clarkesville, will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 13, at First Presbyterian Church of Clarkesville with the Rev. Lisa Graves officiating.

Mr. Peak died Wednesday, Oct. 3, 2012.

Born March 25, 1937, in Cleveland, Ohio, he was the son of James Hamilton Peak and Dona Mae Bryant Peak.

Mr. Peak was a U.S. Army veteran, a graduate of Ohio Wesleyan University and he held a law degree from the University of Connecticut. Throughout his career, Mr. Peak held several senior executive positions in human resources and labor law.

Survivors include his wife of 51 years, Jan Peak; sons and daughters-in-law, James and Fran Peak of Billings, Mont., David and Pamela Peak of Avon, Conn., and John and Julie Peak of Atlanta; and five grandchildren, Bridget Peak, Alexa Peak, Houston Peak, Wyatt Peak and Dylan Peak.
