A private service for Joan Marie Theresa Mitchell Clevenger, 71, of Clarkesville was held at Grace-Calvary Episcopal Church, Clarkesville, with burial at St. Mary’s Catholic Church Cemetery, Laurel, Md. A Maryland service will be held at a future date.

Mrs. Clevenger died Monday, May 14, 2012, in Clarkesville.

Joan is survived in death by her loving husband, John R. Clevenger; daughters, Diane Parzow and Stacy Buckingham; stepdaughters, Gina Britt and Angie House; grandchildren, Billy Shrives, Olivia Parzow, Melissa Harris; and great-grandson, Blake Shrives.
