Funeral services for Kenneth Melvin Grizzle, 60, of Baldwin, were conducted at 2 p.m. Monday, Aug. 11, at Pleasant Hill Baptist Church with the Rev. Raymond Page and the Rev. Melvin Chandler officiating. Burial was in the church cemetery.

Mr. Grizzle died Saturday, Aug. 9, 2014, at Habersham Medical Center.

Born June 29, 1954, in Atlanta, he was the son of the late J.T. and Mary Rylee Grizzle.

He was a U.S. Army veteran, having served in Vietnam, and was a Mason, a member of World Association of Benchers and Dead Lifters organization, a Gideon in the Lawrenceville camp and a member of Cornelia United Methodist Church. Mr. Grizzle was a construction/building block engineer in the building industry.

He is survived by his wife, Maria Jane Williams Grizzle of the home; one son, Scott Caleb Grizzle (Soji); two daughters, Kelly Michelle Williams (Tim) of Gainesville, and Deena Renee Haney (Timothy) of Waleska; one sister, Melba Spanks (Steve) of Lawrenceville; and six grandchildren, Jordan, Makayla, Brooks, Morgan, Aiden and Aleyna.
