He was the son of the late W.P. and Nora Taylor Franklin of Turnerville. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, William P. and Albert Franklin.
Mr. Franklin was drafted in 1946 and served 22 years in the U.S. Air Force.
Survivors include his wife, Beverly B. Franklin; sons, Jimmy, Michael, David, Bobby, Steven and Billy; daughters, Susan Cantor and Mary Mehan; brother, Raymond D. Franklin; 14 grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
