Funeral services for Leveyon Trotter, 69, of Clarkesville, were held at 2 p.m. Monday, March 26, at Whitfield Funeral Home, North Chapel, Demorest, with the Rev. Kenneth McEntire officiating. Burial followed in Bethlehem Baptist Church Cemetery.

Mr. Trotter died Saturday, March 24, 2012, at his residence following an extended illness.

Born Feb. 8, 1943, in Clarkesville, he was the son of the late Clyde Peyton Trotter Sr. and Monteen Meadows Trotter. He also was preceded in death by his brothers, Larry I. Trotter and Clyde P. Trotter Jr., and his granddaughter, Natalie Elayne Tench.

Mr. Trotter was a self-employed carpenter and a member of Bethlehem Baptist Church.

Survivors include his daughters and sons-in-law, Debbie and James Tench of Baldwin, and Pam and Boyd Davis of Cleveland; sister, Brenda T. Burrell of Clarkesville; brothers, Charles P. Trotter of Trion, James W. Trotter of Clarkesville, and Tommy L. Trotter Sr. of Clarkesville; and grandson, Clayton Tench.
