Funeral services for Lois Rogers Martin, 86, of Cornelia, were held at 2 p.m., Tuesday, Aug. 14, at Whitfield Funeral Home, North Chapel, Demorest, with the Rev. Jason Thornton and the Rev. Aaron Phillips officiating. Burial followed in Yonah Memorial Gardens.

Mrs. Martin died Friday, Aug. 10, following a sudden illness.

Born May 1, 1926, in Rabun County, she was the daughter of the late Ira and Annie Harkins Rogers. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, the Rev. Clarence Martin.

Mrs. Martin was a member of Midway Mission Church. She was a full-time dedicated Christian

homemaker and mother.

Survivors include her daughter and son-in-law, Elaine and Jerry Norris of Toccoa; son and daughter-in-law, Jerry and Joy Martin of Cornelia; sisters, Margie Martin of Demorest, and Marie Edmonds of Mountain City; five grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.
