Funeral services for Marvin L. Jett, 83, of Cumming, were held at 11 a.m. Monday, May 14, at Ingram Funeral Home with the Rev. Randall Woody officiating. Burial followed at Sawnee View Memorial Gardens.

Mr. Jett died Saturday, May 12, 2012.

He was a member of Shady Grove Baptist Church. Marvin was preceded in death by his wife, Aby Akins Jett.

Survivors include his children, Barbara Sams and Lee Berrong of Cleveland, James (Nancy) Jett of Tennessee, Johnnie (Sarah) Jett of Cumming, Brenda Chastain and Mark Luttrell of Cumming; grandchildren, Timmy (Jessica) Sams, Mitchell (Debbie) Sams, Matthew (Dianne) Jett, Steven Jett, Charlene (Ben) Day, Jeffery (Tonya) Bell; great-grandchildren, Zachary, Cody, Hunter, Eva, Shalyn, Taya, Bailey, Kayla, Logan, Brandon, Jacob, Brittany, Tyler; great-great-grandchild, Gracie; and brother, Fred Jett of Cumming.
