Funeral services for Melvin Shane Stephens, 46, of Clarkesville, were held at 2 p.m. Monday, Dec. 24, at Hollywood Baptist Church with the Rev. Tim Tanner and Pastor Don Samples officiating. Burial followed in the church cemetery.

Mr. Stephens died Friday, Dec. 21, 2012.

Born Oct. 15, 1966, Shane was the son of Melvin Stephens and Barbara Alexander Stephens.

He was a lifelong resident of Habersham County and was of the Baptist faith. Shane was self-employed with Stephens and Son Farm.

Survivors include his father, Melvin Stephens of Clarkesville; mother, Barbara Alexander Stephens of Clarkesville; daughters, Kirsten Stephens and Chelsey Stephens and son, Keaton Stephens, all of Clarkesville; sisters, Kellie Barrs (Brian) of Mt. Airy and Contessa Plant (Jantzen) of Clarkesville; and brother, Matt Stephens of Bowling Green, Ky.
