Funeral services for Myrtle “Sug” Duckett Swinehart, 89, of the Hollingsworth Community, were held at 3:30 p.m. Thursday, March 29, at Whitfield Funeral Home, South Chapel, Baldwin, with Pastor Mark Vandiver and Ken Duckett officiating. Burial followed in Harmony Baptist Church Cemetery.

Mrs. Swinehart died Tuesday, March 27, 2012, at The Oaks at Scenic View in Baldwin.

Born July 8, 1922, in Banks County, she was a daughter of the late Marion R. and Anna Nunnally Duckett. She also was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas Franklin Swinehart.

Mrs. Swinehart was a graduate of Baldwin High School. She and her late husband, Tom, were church planters for a number of years. After retirement, they moved back to the Banks and Habersham County areas. She was a member of Harmony Baptist Church and the Fidelis Sunday School Class.

She is survived by 11 nieces and nephews. Mrs. Swinehart was the last surviving member of her immediate family.
