A memorial service to celebrate her life will be held in the chapel of First Baptist Church, Augusta, at 2 p.m. Thursday, June 12, with burial immediately following. A gathering of family and friends will begin one hour prior to service time.
She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Lisa Walden and the Rev. Grady Walden of Mt. Airy; son, Richard Williams of Nashville, Tenn.; sister, Mildred Allen of Bamburg, S.C.; four grandsons; and many loving nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations in Maxine’s memory to either the First Baptist Church of Augusta chapel fund or the Southeastern Firefighters Burn Foundation.
