Memorial services for Frederick J. Waugh Jr., 97, of Clarkesville, will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 15, at First Presbyterian Church of Clarkesville with the Rev. Lisa Graves officiating.

The family will receive friends at the church following the service.

Mr. Waugh died Monday, Oct. 3, 2011, at Habersham Medical Center following a sudden illness.

Born July 22, 1914, in Lincoln, Neb., he was the son of the late Frederick J. Waugh Sr. and Ruby Belle Reed Waugh. He was also preceded in death by his twin brothers, Richard and Reed Waugh, and his sister, Virginia Williams.

Mr. Waugh was a captain in the United States Army during World War II, where he served in the Office of Strategic Services. Mr. Waugh was engaged in real estate and insurance, but the love of his life was his involvement with his Omega Record Company. He was a member of First Presbyterian Church of Clarkesville.

Survivors include his beloved wife, Evelyn C. Waugh of Clarkesville; daughter, Susan Waugh of Glendale, Calif.; son and daughter-in-law, Richard A. and Bonnie Waugh of Canyon Country, Calif.; and grandchildren, Justin Waugh, Christian Waugh and Sascha Brash.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to First Presbyterian Church of Clarkesville, 181 Jefferson St., Clarkesville, GA 30523.
