On Wednesday, Nov. 9, 2011, Cameron Jonah Jackson, 10, of Apex, N.C., conquered his battle with cancer as he entered into the arms of Jesus. While he battled cancer for nearly four years, he will always be known for his contagious laugh, beautiful smile and his ability to live life to the fullest. For Cameron “Action Jackson,” every day on this Earth was the best day ever. 

Cam is survived by his parents, Ernest Jackson IV and LeAnn Wright Jackson; brother, Connor Jackson; grandparents, Paul and Wanda Wright of Mt. Airy, and Ernest Jackson III of Lavonia and Mary Lou Jackson of Apex, N.C.; and great-grandparents, James and Sara Wright of Cornelia.

Cameron is preceded in death by his great-grandparents, Larkin and Earline Loudermilk, Percy and Pheobe Miller and Ernest Jr. and Sara Jackson.

A memorial service was held at 3 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 13, at Salem Baptist Church, Apex, N.C. A private burial was held at Hazel Creek Baptist Church Cemetery, Mt. Airy.
