William ‘Stanley’ Tyler

Funeral services for William “Stanley” Tyler, 46, of Clarkesville, will be held at 11 a.m. today, Dec. 23, in the Beck Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Hank Conner and the Rev. Roy Conner officiating. Burial will follow in Bethel Cemetery.

Mr. Tyler died Wednesday, Dec. 21, 2011, at his residence after an lengthy illness.

Born in Rabun County, he was the son of Peggy Joan Marsengill Tyler and the late William Stephen Tyler.

In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by his grandparents, including a very special grandmother, Gennie Bell Tyler.

Stanley was a member of the Rabun County High School Class of 1984, and was employed by the Habersham County Sheriff’s Department. He enjoyed hunting, singing and picking, old cars and was very talented at drawing. He was a loving father, husband and grandfather.

In addition to his mother, he is survived by his loving wife, Wanda Daphne Crow Tyler of the home; a son, Caleb Tyler and his wife Jennifer of Clarkesville; two daughters, Natasha Tyler of Dillard, Gracie Tyler of Clarkesville; two stepsons, Jordan Wade and his wife Kayla of Mt. Airy, Joseph Mealor of Hollywood; one brother, Steve Tyler and his wife Tracy of Wiley; two sisters, Robin Tayler and her husband Greg of Tiger, Stephanie Quilliams and her husband Roy of Clayton; and grandchildren, Clayton Tyler, Dane and Glori Tyler and Jayden Wade.
