Funeral services for Frank Clinton Jones, 72, of Clarkesville, were held at 2 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 8, at Hillside Memorial Chapel with the Rev. Paris Whitworth and the Rev. Kenneth Taylor officiating. Burial followed in Alley’s Chapel Methodist Cemetery.

Mr. Jones died Jan. 5, 2012, at Friendship Nursing Home.

Born Nov. 2, 1939, in Habersham County, he was the son of the late James Clinton and Maybelle Black Jones.

Mr. Jones was a self-employed carpenter for many years and he was of the Baptist faith.

Survivors include his daughters, Carolee Jones of Cleveland and Charlene Jones of Clarkesville; sons, Clinton Jones (Laverne) of Clarkesville, Darren Jones (Irma) of Demorest, and Steven Jones (Allyson) of Cleveland; brother, Charles Jerry Jones of Clarkesville; sister, Annette F. Coffee of Clarkesville; grandchildren, Amanda Cronic, Heather Stevens, Samuel Jones, Kierstin Jones, Katie Jones, Dustin Jones, Amy Jones, Amber Jones, Emilee Jones, Kaylan Gabrels, Kyle Gabrels, Brooke Gabrels and Adam Jones; as well as three great-grandchildren.
