Memorial services for Lonnie B. Bloodworth Sr., 90, of Cornelia, are scheduled for 11 a.m., today, Feb. 3, at Faith Tabernacle Baptist Church with Rev. Johnny Johnson officiating.

Mr. Bloodworth died Wednesday, Feb. 1, 2012.

Mr. Bloodworth was born in Milton, Ga. on Sept. 1, 1921 to the late Lonzo and Ollie Jane Christopher Bloodworth. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a wife, Marion Hubbard Bloodworth, daughter, Mary Janet Bloodworth and son, Richard Dean Bloodworth. Mr. Bloodworth was a Veteran of United States Army where he served in World War II. He was a retired cook and was a member of the Mt. Zion Baptist Church, Jonesboro, Georgia.

Survivors include mother of his children, Beatrice Edwards Bloodworth, Lilburn; daughters, Corless L. Singleton, Lilburn, and Hilda Giles, Woodstock; sons, Lonnie B. Bloodworth, Jr., Monroe, Tommy Bloodworth, Sebring, Fla., and Eddie Bloodworth, Dacula; 11 grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild. Mr. Bloodworth is the last of his immediate family.
