Graveside services for Paul C. Ivie, 77, of Clarkesville, were held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 7, at Macedonia Baptist Church Cemetery with the Rev. Leon Miller officiating.

Mr. Ivie died Friday, Feb. 3, 2012 at Habersham Medical Center.

Born Jan. 18, 1935, in Rabun County, he was the son of the late James P. and Ruby Carnes Ivie.

Mr. Ivie was retired from the Georgia Department of Transportation where he was a resident engineer. Mr. Ivie was a member of Macedonia Baptist Church where he held positions as Sunday School teacher and superintendent and was on the Cemetery Committee.

Survivors include his wife, Marnell Gray Ivie of Clarkesville; sons and daughters-in-law, John and Elizabeth Ivie of Carnesville and James and Astrid Ivie of Clarkesville; brothers and sisters-in-law, Doug and Donna Ivie of Clarkesville and Norman and Geneva Ivie of Athens; sister, Betty Harrington of Lawrenceville; and grandchildren, Irene Ivie and Patrick Ivie of Carnesville.
