Memorial services for Betty Foster Jackson, 59, of Toccoa, and formerly of Cornelia, were held at 6 p.m., Monday, March 19, at Whitfield Funeral Home, North Chapel, Demorest, with the Rev. Joel Hawkins and the Rev. James Franklin officiating.

Mrs. Jackson died Friday, March 16, 2012, after an extended illness.

Born July 13, 1952, in Banks County, she was the daughter of the late Mark Nelson Foster and Estelle Sisk. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brothers, Donald Foster and “Charlie Brown” Foster; and sister, Dianne Heaton.

Mrs. Jackson was of the Baptist faith and a health-care giver.

Survivors include her daughter, Donna Franklin of Clarkesville; daughter and son-in-law, Tina and Casey Richie of Toccoa; son and daughter-in-law, Scooter and Sandy Foster of Mt. Airy; son, Shane Foster of College Park; sisters, Linda Porterfield and Judy Gunn, both of Cornelia; brothers, Nickey Foster of Cornelia, Nelson Foster of Baldwin; seven grandchildren, Brandon and Brent Baker, Kevin and Konner Foster, Breauna, Javen and Josten Richie.
