Funeral services for Lucille Martin Cagle, 82, of Homer, were held at 11 a.m. Saturday, March 24, at Whitfield Funeral Home, South Chapel, Baldwin, with the Rev. Luke Parson officiating. Burial followed in Union Ground Cemetery, Franklin County.

Mrs. Cagle died Thursday, March 22, 2012.

Born May 6, 1929, in Banks County, she was a daughter of the late Burie and Mae Reems Martin. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, P.L. Cagle; sisters, Sally Hardy, Addie Stewart and Ruth Simmons; and a brother, Roy Martin.

Mrs. Cagle was of the Baptist faith and a homemaker.

Survivors include her daughter and son-in-law, Dayle and Paul Thompson of Suwanee; son and daughter-in-law, Larry and Pat Cagle Sr. of Tignall; a sister, Bessie Dooley of Homer; five grandchildren, Larry Cagle Jr. of Lavonia, Leslie and Steve Dills of Homer, Eden Victoria Thompson of Suwanee, Dennis and Brandi Cagle and Tracy Cagle, all of Elberton; six great-grandchildren, Kyle Dills, Owen Dills, Carrigan Dills, Landon Cagle, Bryson Cagle and Zayden Cagle
