Dorothy Louise ‘Dot’ Ferguson Littleton

Funeral services for Dorothy Louise “Dot” Ferguson Littleton, 81, of Demorest, were held at 2 p.m. Sunday, June 10, at the chapel of McGahee-Griffin & Stewart Funeral Home with the Rev. J.T. Ferguson and Pastor Royce Winters officiating. Burial followed in Antioch Baptist Church cemetery.

Mrs. Littleton died Thursday, June 7, 2012, at her residence.

Born Dec. 12, 1930, in Demorest, she was a daughter of the late Quinton Eugene and Etta Mae Spencer Ferguson. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sisters, Sara Hallford, Betty Caudell and Irene Shirley.

She was a homemaker, beloved mother and a member of Antioch Baptist Church.

Surviving are son and daughter-in-law, Lamar and Diane Littleton of Cumming; daughter and son-in-law, Donna and Dale Canup of Mt. Airy; brothers, the Rev. J.T. Ferguson of Buford and Frank Ferguson of Demorest; sisters, Mary Ferguson of Atlanta, Elaine Grubbs of Lilburn, Ella Arnold of Oakwood, and Evelyn Tarrant of The Villages, Fla.; grandson, Brad Canup; numerous nieces and nephews and grand-nieces and grand-nephews.

The family would like to thank Dr. Nancy Watson of Demorest for her kind and excellent care as Dot’s physician and friend for the past 18 years. The family would also like to thank United Hospice for their compassionate care in Dot’s final days.
