Memorial services for John H. McLean, 95, of Cornelia, were held at 2 p.m., Monday, July 16, at Whitfield Funeral Home, North Chapel, Demorest, with the Rev. Charles Mallard officiating.

Mr. McLean died Thursday, July 12, 2012, following an extended illness.

Born Sept. 11, 1916, in Manila, Philippines, he was the son of the late Forman and Mary Morford McLean. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Margaret Myers McLean.

Mr. McLean was a member of St. Thomas Anglican Church and was a retired chemist with the DuPont Corporation.

Survivors include his sons and daughters-in-law, Dr. William and Cathy McLean of Cornelia, and John Hull and Barbara McLean of Millsboro, Del.; four grandchildren, William McLean II, Kimberly Allen, Alex McLean and John McLean; and five great-grandchildren.
