Funeral services for Randall “Randy” Dale Smith, 52, of Clarkesville, are scheduled for 2 p.m. today, Aug. 3, at the chapel of McGahee-Griffin & Stewart Funeral Home with the Rev. Paris Whitworth and the Rev. George Wooten officiating. Burial will follow in Jones Family Cemetery.

Mr. Smith died Tuesday, July 31, 2012.

Born Sept. 10, 1959, in Stephens County, he was a son of the late Bobbie Wooten Smith Barton and Jim Henry Smith. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Juanita Smith Welborn.

Mr. Smith was a lifelong truck driver and employed with Hulsey Environmental and attended Macedonia Baptist Church. He enjoyed hunting, mechanics and spending time with his grandchildren. He was a horse enthusiast, who owned and operated Circle R Ranch.

Surviving are his wife of 34 years, Judy Marie Smith of the home; son and daughter-in-law, Shane and Charlene McFall of Dalton; daughter and son-in-law, Kelly and Bruce Nations of Mt. Airy; daughter, Lynn Smith of Clarkesville; sister, Susan Parrish of Baldwin; nine grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
