Funeral services for Joseph Monroe “Joe” Fry, 58, of Demorest, were held at 5 p.m. Monday, Aug. 13, at Whitfield Funeral Home, North Chapel, Demorest, with the Rev. Brian James and Melvin Stephens officiating. Burial followed in Yonah Memorial Gardens.

Mr. Fry died Saturday, Aug. 11, 2012, following an extended illness.

Born March 11, 1954, in Demorest, he was the son of Desma Dyer Fry of Demorest, and the late Sylvester Monroe Fry.

Mr. Fry was of the Methodist Faith. He was the owner operator of Demorest Paint and Body Inc. and a NASCAR spotter.

Survivors include, in addition to his mother, his sister, Nina Fry of Demorest.
