Funeral services for William Clifton "Billy" Long Jr., 58, of Cornelia, were held at 2 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 15, at Glory Bound Baptist Church in Alto with the Rev. Mickey Umbehant and the Rev. Steve Ford officiating. Burial followed in Yonah Memorial Gardens.

Mr. Long died Thursday, Sept. 13, 2012, at his home.

Born Nov. 13, 1953, in Hall County, he was the son of Dorothy (Irvin) Long and the late William Clifton Long Sr.

He was a security guard at Mt. Vernon Mills. Mr. Long was a U.S. Army veteran.

In addition to his mother, survivors include his son, Curtis William Long of Cornelia; brothers, Bobby Long of Alto and Dale Irvin of Dahlonega; sisters, Elaine Canady of Toccoa, Doris Batson of Banks County and Teresa Wade of Toccoa; and a number of nieces and nephews.
