Funeral services for Louise Hunter Welborn, 84, of Kent, Wash., formerly of Clarkesville, will be held at 2 p.m. today, Sept. 26, at Hillside Memorial Chapel with the Rev. Connie Berry officiating. Burial will follow in Stonepile Baptist Church Cemetery.

Mrs. Welborn died Thursday, Sept. 20, 2012, at a private facility in Washington.

Born June 24, 1928, in Gainesville, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Elsie Mae Williams Hunter. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Paul Welborn; son, Joe Welborn; and brothers, Lewis and Harold Hunter.

Mrs. Welborn was a former employee of Orbit Industries Inc. and a homemaker. She was a member of Stonepile Baptist Church.

Survivors include her grandson, John Welborn of Seattle, Wash.; and sister, Ruth Kimsey of Clarkesville.
