A memorial mass for the Rev. Edward Newton Cundiff, 61, of Alto, was held at 3 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 7, at Church of the Resurrection, Sautee, where he served. Interment of ashes was in the church’s columbarium, with Assistant Bishop Keith B. Whitmore presiding.

The Rev. Cundiff died Oct. 3, 2012, after a long and earnest battle against cancer.

Ed was ordained an Episcopal deacon in 2004, in the Episcopal Diocese of Central Florida, and he spent the last four years serving the White County community.
