Mrs. Tumlin died Tuesday, Oct. 16, 2012.
Born June 10, 1944, in Cumming, she was the daughter of the late Robert Andy and Sarah Elizabeth Smith Dodd. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her stepson, Joe Tumlin; brothers, Billy Dodd, Robert Lee Dodd and Donald Dodd; sisters, Roberta Jackson, Betty Eubanks and Frances Tuffy; and great-granddaughter, Autumn Grace Ferguson.
Mrs. Tumlin was a spinner with Cornelia Veneer Company and attended New Vision Worship Center. She enjoyed camping, fishing, thrift stores, flea markets and spending time with her grandchildren.
Surviving are her husband, Joseph E. Tumlin of Alto; sons, Eddie McKinzie Jr. of Alto and Joseph M. Tumlin of Alto; daughters, Beverly Wilson of Lula, Cathy Ferguson of Gillsville and Margaret Laymon of Alto; stepsons, David Tumlin of Alto, Ricky Tumlin of Winder, Randy Tumlin of Winder; stepdaughters, Judy Franklin of Gwinnett, Wanda Cargle of Jonesboro; brothers, Ronald Dodd and David Dodd, both of Arcola, Texas, J.T. Dodd of Dahlonega, and Kenny Dodd of Douglasville; sister, Martha Dodd of Alto; 26 grandchildren; and 51 great-grandchildren.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. today, Oct. 19.
