Mr. Dixon died Sunday, Nov. 18, 2012, at his residence.
Born April 12, 1931, in Habersham County, he was the son of the late Sherman and Willie Mae Black Dixon. In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by his wife, Willie McCall Dixon “Imom,” and grandsons, Ryan and Richard Worley.
Mr. Dixon was a retired employee of Clarkesville Mill. He was a U.S. Air Force veteran and a member of Ebenezer Methodist Church in Hollywood. He also was an avid horse trader.
Survivors include his stepdaughter, Carlene Worley of Tiger; brothers, Dan Dixon of Clarkesville and Jack Dixon of Chattanooga, Tenn.; sisters, Nancy Anderson of Barnesville, Ellen Mooneyham of Sautee and Carolyn Smith of Clarkesville; grandchildren, Randy and Tracey Worley, Rowanda and Scott Burrell, Rodney and Jennifer Worley; great-grandchildren, Tyler, Emma and Grace Worley.
