Mrs. Wheeler died Wednesday, Jan. 23, 2013.
Born Nov. 21, 1927, in Banks County, she was the daughter of the late Archie Broadus and Lillie Mae Eubanks McCoy. She was the widow of Charles P. Wheeler. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her brothers, Bill McCoy, and E.B. “Mac” McCoy, and a sister, Sue Dobbins.
Mrs. Wheeler was a member of Clarks Creek Baptist Church and H.M. Stewart Pioneer Club. She was a retired junior revenue accountant with Standard Telephone Company with 40 years of service.
Survivors include her brother and sister-in-law, Robert T. “Bob” and Barbara McCoy of Mt. Airy; sisters-in-law, Kathleen McCoy of Cornelia, and Geraldine McCoy of Lilburn; and a number of nieces and nephews.
