Mrs. Pasternak died Sunday, Feb. 3, 2013.
Born on July 22, 1925, she was a daughter of the late N.U. Turpen Sr. and Drucilla Williams Turpen. She also was preceded in death by her husband, John Pasternak; son, Ed Vanderlind; brother, Arles Turpen; and sisters, Lucille Roberts, Agnes Coffee, Evelyn Hale, and Carolyn Bowden.
Survivors include her daughter and son-in-law, Connie and Tom Howard; sons, John Vanderlind and Jay Vanderlind; 12 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and brother and sister-in-law, N.U. Turpen Jr. and Annette McCollum Turpen of Cleveland.
Arrangements were entrusted to the Lewis E. Wint & Son Funeral Home of Clarkston, Mich.
