Mrs. Pilgrim died Thursday, March 21, 2013, at her residence.
Born Jan. 7, 1937, in Habersham County, she was a daughter of the late William Worth and Mary Lee Eller Arrowood. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband, Daniel Andrew Pilgrim; and brothers, Bud and Bobby Arrowood.
Mrs. Pilgrim was a homemaker who enjoyed spending time with her family and was of the Holiness faith. She was always thinking of others and tried to feed everyone that came to see her.
Survivors include her daughter and son-in-law, Brenda and Randy Porterfield of Demorest; sons and daughters-in-law, David and Vergie Pilgrim of Cornelia, Darryl and Regina Pilgrim of Cornelia and Wayne and Donna Pilgrim of Maysville; brothers, Leon Arrowood of Dahlonega, Harvey Arrowood of Cleveland and Charles Arrowood of Cleveland; sisters, Betty Croy of Cornelia, Linda Morris of Cornelia, Gracie Mae Murphy of Oakwood and Lou Watson of Dalton; 17 grandchildren; 29 great-grandchildren; one great-great grandchild; and a number of nieces, nephews and friends.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. today, March 22.
