Funeral services for Annease McDuffie, 59, of Baldwin, were held at 2 p.m. Thursday, July 25, at Whitfield Funeral Home, South Chapel, Baldwin, with the Rev. Silvio Vigo, the Rev. Billy Burrell and the Rev. Jerrell Beatty officiating. Burial followed in Union Hill Missionary Baptist Church Cemetery.

Mrs. McDuffie died Monday, July 22, 2013, at Northeast Georgia Medical Center.

Born Dec. 9, 1953, in Commerce, she was the daughter of the late Jack and Catherine Broome McDuffie. She was the widow of Pete Lawrence.

Mrs. McDuffie was formerly employed with Baldwin Garment Company for a number of years, Vend Inc., and was self-employed for the past several years.

Survivors include her daughter and son-in-law, Sharon and Allen Sears of Homer; sisters, Ethel Evans of Calhoun, Betty Kimsey of Florida, Ruth Eller Justus of Homer, Ann Wikle of Cornelia, Carolyn Moody of Baldwin; brother, Tony McDuffie of Lula; grandson, Justin Sears of Homer; several nieces and nephews; and a special friend, Trinidad Rosendo of Baldwin.
