Funeral services for Doris Roberts Huff, 85, of Cornelia, are scheduled for 2 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 24, at Cornelia United Methodist Church with the Rev. Wayne Smith and Dr. Jay Hughes officiating. Burial will follow in the VFW Memorial Park Cemetery, Smith Loop Road, Demorest.

Mrs. Huff died Monday, Aug. 19, 2013, at Habersham Medical Center, Demorest.

Born August 19, 1928, in Shelby, N.C., she was a daughter of the late Lloyd and Irene Palmer Roberts. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Garey Huff; son-in-law, Andrew B. Campbell; and sister, Dorothy Marie Hensley.

Mrs. Huff was a seamstress for many years, having owned a fabric shop in Madison. Upon retirement, Mrs. Huff worked for five years as a paraprofessional at Cornelia Elementary School. Mrs. Huff was a member of Cornelia United Methodist Church, the Wesley Bible Class, and enjoyed gardening and sewing.

Survivors include her daughter, Joi Campbell of Cornelia; sons and daughters-in-law, Garey H. “Butch” and Molly Huff of Winder, Michael and Donna Huff of Rutledge, Barry and Teresa Huff of Demorest; grandchildren, B.J. and Audrey Huff, Amy Huff, Catherine Huff, John and Lydia Huff, Jesse Huff, Andrew Huff, Sarah Huff, Ashlee Huff, Aaron Huff, Emilee and Kyle Waldon and Jaclynn Campbell; great-grandchildren, Thomas Huff, Molly Huff, Owen Huff; brother and sister-in-law, James H. “Jimmy” and Nancy Roberts, High Point, N.C.; brother-in-law, Carroll Hensley, Shelby, N.C.; and special friend and neighbor, Mary Funk.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 5-8 p.m. Friday, Aug. 23.
