Mr. Wright died Wednesday, Oct. 9, 2013.
Born July 13, 1942, in Memphis, Tenn., he was the son of the late John Charles Wright and Mildred Duncan Wright Jamison.
Mr. Wright received his bachelor’s degree in forestry from the University of Arkansas. He was a member of both The Society of American Foresters and Forest Land Owners. He retired from Larson and McGowin Forest Managers and Consultants, where he served as executive vice president for a number of years, and was a former owner of Pomery and McGowin in Monticello, Ark. He was formerly employed with Davis Forestry in Monticello, Ark., and a past ACF President. The PFIT Scholarship is named in his honor. Mr. Wright was a United States Army veteran and a member of the First United Methodist Church of Monticello, Ark.
Survivors include his loving wife of 37 years, June Morrison Wright of the Hollingsworth Community, Alto; sister, Charlene Wright of Austin, Texas; half-brothers, Charlie Wright of DeLand, Fla., and Joe Wright of Lamar, Miss.; stepsister, Sandy Oglesby of Tennessee; brother-in-law, Jimmy Morrison; sisters-in-law, Janice Yarber and Joanna Wilbanks, all of Hollingsworth; and many nieces and nephews.
