Funeral services for Jessie James “Jim” Moody, 70, of Cornelia, are scheduled for 2 p.m. today, Nov. 6, at Whitfield Funeral Home, South Chapel, Baldwin, with David Terrell officiating. Burial will follow in Yonah Memorial Gardens.

Mr. Moody died Monday, Nov. 4, 2013.

Born Oct. 29, 1943, in Waynesville, N.C., he was the son of the late Thomas Zach and Mollie Myers Moody. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Glenda Kennedy Moody; brother, Tommy Moody; and two grandsons, Austin Walker and Andrew Walker.

Mr. Moody was a retired employee of Ethicon, a Johnson & Johnson company, with 18 years of service. He was a member at Cornelia Christian Church.

Survivors include his daughter and son-in-law, Tina Melissa and Dennis Walker of Cumming; sons and daughters-in-law, Jimmy Glen and Jill Moody of Toccoa and Ronald James and Misty Moody of Cornelia; sisters and brothers-in-law, Jean and Mac Turner of Baldwin, and Belle and Charles Fleming of Hull; brothers and sisters-in-law, Jack and Linda Moody of Alto and Bobby and Wanda Moody of Alto; grandchildren, Kimberly Watts, Abby Walker, Brandy Moody, Blake Moody, and Bradley Moody; and one great-granddaughter, MaKenna Watts.
