Funeral services for Woody Monroe English, 75, of Homer, are scheduled for 2 p.m. Friday, Dec. 6, at Harmony Baptist Church with the Rev. Gene Todd officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.

Mr. English died Friday, Nov. 29, 2013.

Born Sept. 24, 1938, in Banks County, he was the son of Blattice Sisk English of Homer, and the late Floyd C. English.

Mr. English was a member of Hebron Baptist Church in Dacula, and was the owner and operator of Four Seasons Fishing Guide Service. He was a United States Air Force veteran. Mr. English was a retired store manager with Home Depot with 30 years of service and was formerly employed with Toccoa Casket Company.

In addition to his mother, he was survived by his daughter, Tammy English Merry of Toccoa; sons, Terry English of Toccoa, Treavor English of Toccoa; son and daughter-in-law, Tony and Debbie English of Toccoa; sister and brother-in-law, Linda and Randall Holbrooks of Demorest; brothers and sisters-in-law, Ralph and Kathy English of Homer, Wayne and Maevrie English of Demorest, Lamar and Robin English of Homer; nine grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

The family will receive friends from 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 5, at Whitfield Funeral Home, South Chapel, Baldwin.
