A tribute and celebration of life for Jack Stiles Stribling, 63, of Roswell, will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, March 8, in the Concert Hall on the campus of Lassiter High School, Marietta.

Mr. Stribling died Feb. 8, 2014, after a brief battle with cancer.

Formerly of Habersham County, Jack attended North Habersham High School, Young Harris College and served in the U.S. Navy. He was employed by Rockmart Slate Corp., where he was vice president of sales and chief operating officer. Jack was the founding president of the Oakdale-Cumberland Jaycees, served on the Standards Committee of the Atlanta Chapter of the American Red Cross, was an active member of the Polk County Rotary Club, serving as Service Project chairman, and was a two-term co-president of the nationally-recognized Lassiter Band Boosters Association. An avid hunter and fisherman, Jack was devoted to his family and was a champion of his community.

He was preceded in death by his father, Marion W. Stribling.

He is survived by his wife of 39 years, Brenda Stribling; daughters, Carrie Stribling and Abbe Stribling Troyer; granddaughter, Annie Henry; his mother, Kathryn Stribling; brothers, John, Sloan and Zachary Stribling; sister, Mary Stribling; and nephews, Jason and Jonathan Stribling.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks memorials be made in his name to Friends of Bulloch Inc., P.O. Box 1309, Roswell, GA; or to the Wounded Warrior Project.
